While antiquing in San Diego, we decided to find a beer and burger joint nearby. It was a Sunday, downtown and midtown had a lot of traffic, and little in the way of parking. However, we did manage to find Crazee Burger on 30th street which was in North Park, our old old stomping grounds. This is a cute little bistro that serves a wild variety of burgers. Known for it’s exotic burgers like lamb, venison, ostrich, buffalo, salmon and even alligator. I was happily surprised that they had good compliment of micro brews on draft.
Just when we thought we had covered all the beer and burger places in Encinitas, we yet find another one. A little further south down the Pacific Coast HWY 101 and it popped out. The Lumberyard Tavern. Pretty good sized place with lots of seating. It was a nice day and so we opted for the little decked patio they had out front. There are plenty of big screen tv around the place to catch a game on.
